Ready to get swept away with an in depth broom making experience? Participants will learn to bind and weave broom corn to a handle and stitch the fibers flat in this two day workshop, leaving with a completed broom full of unique character. All materials provided, including an assortment of locally collected natural broom handles to choose from. Open to all beginners, however, please be aware that broom making is a physical task that requires sustained effort and hand strength. We will be working with damp materials and you may want to bring a small towel for your lap.
We will take this class outside for some fresh spring air! Please bring a water bottle for yourself and expect to have a sweet treat to nibble on! This is a two part class taking place on Saturday and Sunday from 1:30-3:30 pm.
